Forgiveness Recovery Programs offers Forgiveness Workbooks entitled "FORGIVENESS: A NEW STORY." Currently two workbooks are available. One adapted for women who formerly experienced spousal abuse (and now are safely out of the abusive relationship) and one adapted for people who have experienced a traumatic divorce. There is also a professional version for both of these client populations. Each workbook is a guide to the definition of forgiveness and the process of forgiving. The workbook helps hurting people understand what forgiveness is and what it is not. The Forgiveness Workbook also guides people in the practice of the 4 phases of the forgiveness process: Uncovering the Injury, Deciding to Forgive, Working on Forgiving, Discovering the Benefits of Forgiving. The forgiveness work in the workbook is presented in 17 units with explanations, stories, and journaling opportunites. This workbook can also serve as a working record of a personal forgiveness journey that will be a valuable tool for a future forgiveness opportunity. |
